On Nov. 2, we had a similar occultation, of 3rd-mag. kappa Gem by a small asteroid; 
they had the same angular size. Only Mike Skrutskie recorded a positive, 0.5s. 
The annularity path should have been 8 km wide but observers 2km north and south 
did not notice an occultation; their recordings are still being analyzed.

Yes several goups coming from France will drive by car and therefore will be mobile
Therefore these cloud coverage maps are very important
